About Nature’s Creation® Lava Sand:

Nature’s Creation Lava Sand is a rock material used in landscaping as a soil amendment. Nature’s Creation® Lava Sand is inert and has a neutral pH. When added to clay soils it modifies the soil structure by separating microscopic clay particles. Because it is porous, it helps sandy soils retain moisture. Nature’s Creation® Lava Sand is volcanic in origin. As volcanic lava cooled, it formed millions of tiny bubbles or pores that allow it to retain water. It differs from sedimentary sands because it retains its sharp edges and texture. Sedimentary sands have a more rounded texture and are made up of more solid quartz granules that do not have the same effect.

Nature’s Creation® Lava Sand is an excellent soil amendment. Nature’s Creation Lava Sand  helps to make the nutrients in the soil more available to root systems.  It increases the water-holding capacity of the soil while separating clay particles. Nature’s Creation® Lava Sand can be applied to all turfgrasses and plants. It will not burn.
