Turf and Fairways
Nature’s Creation® Premium Lawn & Garden Fertilizer with Mychorrhizal Fungi 6-1-2
can be applied even in hot or dry weather. Our nitrogen is derived from natural sources and does not evaporate or cause burning.
Maintenance: For healthy turf under an existing organic program, apply at the rate of 10-20 lbs. per 1,000 square feet in spring, mid-summer, and fall. For maximum performance, apply water immediately after application. If possible, apply water again after 24 hours.
High Application Rate for New Organic Programs & Soil Rejuvenation: Apply 20 to 30 lbs. per 1,000 square feet in early spring and late fall. A supplemental application, mid-summer, of 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet is also recommended. In extremely poor soil, apply up to 30 lbs. per 1,000 square feet as an initial application. Whenever possible, to activate product for quicker breakdown and soil response, water after application. After two seasons at the high rate, revert to maintenance application rates.
Newly Seeded Lawns: Apply 15 lbs. per 1,000 square feet the same day your seed is applied. Mix into top inch of soil if possible. Follow recommended watering schedule for your seed variety. Reapply after 60 days at 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. Revert to maintenance rate for future applications.
New Sod: Before laying sod, apply 15 lbs. per 1,000 square feet on the bare soil.
Immediately after laying sod, apply 20 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. Follow the recommended watering schedule for new sod. Reapply after 60 days at 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. Revert to maintenance rate for future applications.
Annual and Perennial Flowers
Before planting annuals, broadcast 3 lbs. per 100 square feet of bed and mix well into the soil. Reapply as a surface application every 60 days.
For perennials, apply at the same rate as annuals and always apply an additional application after blooming to strengthen plants for future seasons.
Roses
Apply 2 lbs. per 100 square feet of bed when first growth is established, reapply every four to six weeks. Avoid late fall application to allow plant to harden off for the winter. For individual roses, apply 1/2 cup per plant every 60 days.
Garden and Vegetables
Lightly top dress area at seeding or transplanting at a rate of 3 lbs. per 100 square feet or 1 Tbsp. per plant. Reapply every 30 days when fruit is forming. For best results, lightly rake to incorporate into soil surface.
Potted or Container Plants
Repotting: Apply 8 oz. of fertilizer per 12 inch container diameter. Apply again in 60 days. If possible, mix into soil surface before watering.
Existing Potted Plants: Top dress 4 oz. of fertilizer per 12 inch of container size. Reapply every 60 days.
Shrubs and Trees
Established Shrubs: In spring and fall, uniformly spread 6 lbs. per 100 square feet of bed. For individual shrubs, use 1 lb. per plant. For best results, incorporate with a rake into the top inch of soil and water in.
Transplanting Shrubs or Trees: When transplanting, blend 1/2 cup per foot of plant height into the soil in the bottom of the hole. Mix thoroughly with the soil to avoid direct contact with the roots. Uniformly blend 1/2 cup per foot height with backfill soil before filling hole.
Established Trees: Broadcast 1 lb. of fertilizer per 1 inch of trunk diameter every 90 days. Apply from trunk to a few feet beyond the drip line.
